While this is not a suitable article for your commentaries, it provides an interesting snapshot into the UK-EU trade numbers for January 2021. On a year-on-year basis, UK exports to the EU has fallen by over 75%! Except for one country, exports have fallen by at least 50% to all European Union countries, with over 10 where exports declined by over 80%, including the largest trading partners, such as Ireland, Germany and Italy.
Exports of salmon have almost completely halted with a staggering 98% decline, but exports of cheese, beef and pork have also declined by over 85%.
