According to the latest report by the Committee on Climate Change of the UK, “people should cut the amount of beef, lamb and dairy produce they eat by a fifth to combat climate change.” Additionally, the UK government has a target of Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050 and the report urges it to take action: “public bodies should lead the way by offering plant-based options with all meals.”
