The IB Statistical Bulletin
It’s a hidden gem! Freely available for each exam session and shows grade distributions, student numbers, and most importantly, subject grade distributions from page 20 in the May 2024 bulletin. A must-check if you want to learn how many students scored a 7, 6 or below, with a detailed breakdow.
You can access it here:
EE Grade Distribution
The IB releases a chart in each statistical bulletin showing EE grades by subject—but no percentages!

So, I did the math:
Using a screenshot and measuring pixel widths of each bar 🤓, I calculated the percentages for each grade.

Then I rearranged the numbers sorting subjects by the % of students getting an A:

If the chart in the statistical bulletin is accurate, here’s what I found:
- World Studies: 🏆 16.32% of students scored an A (easiest for top grades!)
- Business & Management: 14% got an A (2nd place)
- Physics: 12% scored an A (3rd place)
- Economics: My favorite subject is sadly the toughest—only 3.78% of students scored an A.
But wait, there’s more!
I also ranked subjects by the percentage of students who got A or B:

And for those of you who’d settle for a C or above:

- Over 90% of students in Physics and Business got at least a C
- Biology came close at almost 90%.
- Economics and History ending the list with about two thirds of students getting at least a C
